this company to much promblems my husband been paying on car they took over citi finincal auto had car four 4 years and have alot bills my husband and i cover have family support cant keep getting bills we owe all this money they been getting alot money paymenys awhile it wrong it gets taken out each month they not going be around long to many compliants i want get rid car the promblem and we want pay off or trade in getting another car nopayments they could rid our credit this has be clear up i am to busy deal with drama and we have proof being paid if wasnt this car be gone by now and to much money i have alot bills cant keep giving to them we dont owe all that money they wrong we send in recipts by fax

i have this same issue here i had paid citi fin then transferred to santanders and learned that i watched my billing letter every month - i paid $550 or $600 a month and the balance didnt go down each month then i called on customer service and said the 16% dialy interest .. i told them i dont see any interest or fees on the statment they said go online to see that..

thats not right and why hidden letters and i still cant get online to see the account information.. i check comparison and learned this company is rip off!!!

last fall $21000 then today bill $21000 whats the heck?! need help please email me

Santander, they are idiots!

I paid my first car note and the idiots ran my card twice so it was a total of 2 payments instead of one. I've been calling their customer service (yea right)and no one knows what to do or they hung up. How does a company get away with this? Finally a capable person (yea right again)took my information and then stated he was not sure if he could get this cleared and oh by the way, he admitted that it was their fault. So why couldn't he stop the double payment? Bad company ever. When the rep took my payment I knew she made a mistake and when I inquired, she replied there was an transaction error but never clearly stated what she had done. so I hold Santander completely responsible sine the people they hire are very incompetent when it comes to this sort of business.

Got a letter from Santander

I just got a letter in the mail for a car loan I had last year... funny thing was that the car loan was through Capital One. The letter stated that I had a loan through CitiFinancial Auto for the same amount with a balance remaining of $4628.84. It also stated a maturity date of 4/20/2004! What this is, I have no idea, but it's clearly a scam. I sold that car at the end of last year and have long received the payoff receipt. I don't know what Santander is trying to pull, but I'm not falling for it.

Received letter 3 Nov '10 from Santander Cards dated 15-10-2010 RE: Experian Reference: ...... informing me that they were unable to offer me the credit product I applied for as I already hold an active account with the Retailer whose product I have applied for and if I have any queries re my existing account, to contact their Customer Services Team, tel no.

on back of my card or statement.

I have never held a card with Santander nor have I applied for any new card in the past 2yrs - how have they got any details for me? (was 'signed' G Brawn, Referral Decision Team).

Citifinance transferred my acct over to them and they have been taking from me since the acct was change over to them a week ago. I reported them to FTC...I think everyone is spanish. They won't give you the corp phone number nor is it listed on yahoo.com

Also just got a letter from Santander yesterday stating I had a 12000 balance on a loan from Citifinance, with a maturity of 2007. Never had a loan with those folks, even though we do have a Capital One loan now.

We called Capital One and they instantly said no when asked if they had Santander servicing their loans.

Contacted Colorado Attorney General since they will not talk to me without my SS#. Not really sure whats going on here, but in the past few weeks there have been enough problems with this company to bring down whats left of our economy!

Santander..i get no statement..charges 10.95 to pay by phone

My citifinancial auto loan switched to SANTANDER..I have never received a monthly statement..santander website will not let me log in or pay online..I have to pay by phone(western union speedpay) which charges 10.95. If this a reputable company it seems to me that I would get a monthly statement,would be able to get someone on the phone(all I can get is a recording which says the offices are currently closed( according to the website open from 7 am to 11 pm),and could pay my loan some way without having to pay 10.95 each time.

I'm in the same boat. I made two payment in mid August and Mid September, both cleared through CitiFinancial.

Santander tries to run a payment two days after the September payment for the same amount paid to Citi, Payment returned and after the takeover, Santander is now saying I'm two or three months behind.

What the He.. am I supposed to do?

You could go online to Santanders website and chat live with someone. And/or call back again and speak with another person and tell them the same thing.

Me - I'd keep calling and speaking to someone until they get record of the information. About the only suggestions I have.

I know how frustrating it is to talk to several people and for some silly reason I never get to talk to the same person. I kid you not, I've spoke with almost 50 different names thus far.

PLEASE, I NEED HELP. Before Santander took over I made a pay't of $428 because I was behind a month.

When they took over Citifinancial, the pay't went to Citi and that check is stuck in their acct. I have the acct number and for the last 2.5 mos and talking to several and I mean several people who have said that they will get the situation resolved. Well, when they call and I ask to speak to Mr. Leah no one knows who he is.

How am I suppose to get this resolved. I don't know who to call because no one has extensions and no one knows who is who in the company.

I am so frustrated and I do not have money to hire a lawyer. Someone PLEASE help me

I am pretty disgusted that after we began with this so called third party we now are being charged

i am disgusted with the fact that we are being charged a fee to even make a payment by phone,on-line,western union ect,why,why,why,are we getting jipped? we should be allowed to make a payment without being charged.all i see happening is that this third party called santander consumer is finding an excuse and ways to make more money off of us .if we mail it it will not get to them on time ,it will be late,so now they can make 15.00 off of us that way,what a jip. we have always been allowed through "citi financial" to make a payment by phone for free.how wrong...........what a rip off.

Santander, Rude and Inconsiderate

My auto loan was purchased by Santander from HSBC Auto when they got out of the car loan business. In March of this year when the sale/conversion took place my payment had already gone off to HSBC and did not get posted to Santander, which is not reporting my payment as having been 30 days late to the credit bureaus. I am in the process of obtaining a home mortgage and this has become a sticking point in that process. When I called Customer Service and was told I needed to call the Credit Reporting Department. I called there and was told there was nothing that they would do. I asked to speak to a Manager and was told there was none available and that one would call me the next morning. At 1pm the next day I called them back. I was told the Manager would not talk to me and that they would not change the report or even give me a letter that this all happened during their conversion. I persisted and was told to call back in 20 minutes. Upon calling back we went thru all the information for the 3rd time before they would let me speak to a Manager. The Manager was rude, short and while acknowledging what had happened, she told me nothing would/could be done. I asked for her supervisor. I ended up with Marie who state pretty much it was my responsibility to told them that my payment had been lost BEFORE I even knew it. I explained to her that once I was aware they had not received it, it was immediately made. Makes no difference. This company needs to be taken to court!

Used the police to break the do not enter locked property law.

Our daughter died, her car was financed with Citibank, during negotiations with Citi to pay cash/blue book value for the lemon sold to her, they sold the car to Santander. Knowing that our daughter was recently deceased, Santander would call asking to speak with her and refused to negotiate with us. Instead they charged late fee and interest on a deceased customers vehicle. Yesterday, they sent guys from Renovo of Grand Rapids, two trucks, who went door to door my neighbors, instead of knocking at our door. Later that evening one approached our home, no paperwork, telling me to open the locked gate so that they could repo her car. He called the police and said that I pointed a gun at him. I had also called the police to have him removed from our property. The law states that locked property cannot be entered to repossess a vehicle in MI. The female officer, disregarded the law/civil issues and order me to unlock the gate and they took her car. She only looked at the VIN number once the truck was in our backyard. She broke the law , so did Santander.

Santander Consumer really "consumes" your money in the form of fees because they don't have their act together to mail a statement in a more timely manner in order for "the consumer" to make a regular payment without incurring other "fees". A "convenience fee" charged via phone or online is ridiculous. And forget about Money Gram or Western Union! I can't imagine what kind of fee they charge! Who does Santander they think they are? I've never been late on a car note in my life! And now they wnat to ruin my credit?! Debt Collector - yeah right .. collect this!

I was ripped off by santander my complaint has been expressed by other dissatified customers. Santanders employees are rude, refusing to allow you to speak to manager, placing you on hold, hanging up on you, lying to you, harassing phone calls, repo thugs, not paying principal, outragious fees, threats.

Santander Consumer USA is a growing company no matter what people say, you know why?

beause persons just make up story to let the company look bad. I am judge by profession and and i have researched the company thoroughly before taking a loan from the. For years i have been with that company and i wont be biased and say that there are't any bad times but at the end i have a smile on my face.

Many time you hear persons saying bad things about the company and you with just an assuming attitude follow through not know that agents are there putting there neck on the line just to make sure that our credit is not in riun.... My opinion is that if you know that you are going to have difficulties in the future in paying back you loan just look for another strategy and stop pressuring the company to make bread out of stone.....Many a time agents have to be risking there job just to ensure that they follow up on you accounts when given a deferment, all this to make sure that its granted and what makes your life so miserable is that you dont show them any appreciation for the hard work they are doing just to ensure that at the en of the day you and your finances are well satisfied...If i was them i would give you hard times too............Maybe you should just stop and think before you act.

We are having so many problems with Santanders I am contanting a consumer lawyer and we may lose our car. You call them and they say they will help and they don't send emails or faxes as they say they do.

We had 8 thousand dollars in auto repair and we got behind now we owe 3500 due on the 18th. How can these people have a conscience working for this company

I got out of this company by trading my vehicle in but they LOST 3 of my payments I had to fax copies of the checks that were cashed by the company. Now.

THEY owe me an overpayment and it started off to be 21-30 days I would get now thaty say the check is printed but won't be mailed for 10 days!

I have filed a claim with the better buisness buerue. Please let me know what else I can do to get these jokers out of buisness!

They won't let you speak to a manager when they call you. The reason is that they are calling from Jamaica!

They have it rigged so it shows as a Dallas area code. There is no financial manager to discuss your problems located in Jamaica. You can only speak to a manager when you call them.

Your call will ring in Dallas.

I can't get them to call me now because I told them that I needed an address to turn in my vehicle. Funny how they vanished when I told them that!

Hello, I have a complaint with this company also. I have always made my payments with out hesistation or any problems.

I called and asked to have one payment deferred for last month and has been given the run around for another month.

These people are rude and inconsiderate.... I dont know what else to do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Horrible business practices..Charging to make a payment.

I am trying to pay off my Citi Financial Auto account which was sold to Santander Customer USA. They call me about a past due payment that is not past due and I find myself in CRAZY LAND!! Something is crazy wrong when a financial lender can CHARGE THEIR CUSTOMERS A FEE TO PAY THEIR ACCOUNT!! She informs me that because I'm sending my final payment to pay the account out I MUST SEND IT BY CASHIER'S CHECK OR WESTERN UNION, no personal checks allowed for final payment?! When I attempt to question her about this I just continue to get the same rehearsed response over and over. It's like talking to a trained bird!! GOD help us all!! SANTANDER CUSTOMER USA IS BAD NEWS!! STAY AWAY they have horrible customer service and Trick Fees!! THANK GOD I'M PAYING THEM OFF EARLY ON.

On Sept 16, 2010 I received a letter from Santander Consumer that stated that Citi financial auto transferred my acct to them. My payment is due on the 19th. I was told by customer service that my ACH was inactive. So I had to pay with a check or debit card now. In which I did I just looked in my acct and found that 2 payments was taken out, I am over drafted. I have no funds in my acct. I have other automatic payments, which will be coming out very soon. This company offered me a loan and over a month and half later came backand said we are not able to offer this loan. I asked them why they sent me a payment notice, why they gave the dealership an approval the day I signed all the paperwork and they could not give me an answer. They just kept saying that they are sorry but are unable to extend the loan. They advised that they will be coming to pick up the vehicle and could not even give me a date or time. They said I am welcome to get someone to "by the laon from them"?!?! They also advised that they will not be reimbusing me any of my large down payment! This company is a scam and fraud!

before you hand over your vehicle please read your state statutes. They can not come and get the vehicle without giving you your money back.

They tried to do this to me. They approved the loan and then said they wouldn't honor it. Do not talk with them on the phone unless it is recorded or only talk with them via chat on their website. If the loan is voided then they must give you your down payment back.

If they do not have a court order do not give it to the repoman.

write to them and demand they take you to court to proceed. You have rights!

Santander just a citi clone, called me late on payment

Because I lost my business due to 9/11 9 years ago, my credit was damaged. Had to get a car loan from Citi at 12.5%. Was always paid on time by auto draft. Santander takes over and doesn't notify the change or that they wouldn't make the autodraft. I don't see the draft from the bank account so I call and find out from the auto telephone message they have sold out and our payment is now 4 days late. They didn't even answer their phone until after 9 am even though the web site says they are open at 7am central. I offered to pay by phone and they have the audacity to ask for $10.50 just to get their money. I mailed the payment! Too bad for them, Ford credit just financed a brand new car at 7.9%! Stay away from Santander!

Santander/Triad ruined my credit and harassed us.

Santander Consumer has lost several of my payments and marked it on my credit that way, but refuses to admit that they did anything wrong. The also charged me late fees and added more payments to my loan.

They even have told me and I quote, "your Husband must not care a thing about you if he isn't going to help you with this", un-quote, twice, then tried to reposses my car and demanded that I paid them three payments when I was only behind a half a payment and had made arrangements. I had to pay it to keep my car. This person even said that she was the highest person there was there, so I couldn't even talk to anyone else about it or file a complaint. They also never told me that Santander took over for Tiad, until I got the next payment statement.

They even have called me on average of 10 to 18 times in a day and my payment wasn't even late and even called my Husband on a work phone number that neither one of us gave them to call back on, so much that he was eventually let go from his job and even then they wouldn't stop calling it. It was a phone number that my Husband used to call them back on to tell them to stop calling and to find out what they wanted. They proceeded to call it and ask for me and I don't even work there, even after we both told them not to use that number and to delete the number. They have even lost my payments, even though they are now electronically made, and then proceeded to call me and ask me if they could take a check by phone.

I even have to call them with the payment number and it still isn't documented right. How irresponsible!!! They have ruined my credit!!!

I'm not at all happy with their service and can't wait to make my final payment to them!!!! Never Again!!!!

Santander Consumer USA is a terrible company and should be put out of its misery. This company ruined my credit on the last/final pmt of my loan where I paid EVERY single pmt on time for the life of the loan.

They have a gimmick where you have to wire the final pmt through Western Union, when I did that they said 2 weeks later that Western Union 'reversed' that final pmt which they never did. Now Santander admits the pmt wasn't reversed but they refuse to update the correct pmt date. It now looks like I made a pmt 2 months late which never happened.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. IF YOU HAVE A LOAN WITH THEM CURRENTLY, REFINANCE ASAP!!!!

Santander co has loan from citifinancialauto and they do not have correct payment information.

my autoloan through citifinancial was picked up by Santander co? and I previously have been making payments automatically every 2 weeks and they called today and told me I was 41days late and my payments was $100 higher than they have been.I tried to talk to rep about how i have been making my payments and she would not even listen or try to investagate probem.She also said they can not do payments every 2 weeks.How can I be late on payments when I make payment every 2 weeks, I have been trying very hard to keep my payments on time and this company wouldnot even work with me,so i want to be rude right back.
