My auto loan was purchased from HSBC by Santander Consumer. I decided to sell the pickup to an individual.

Their bank wired an overnite payment to Santander for payoff thru January 20th. Santander added finance charges thru February 2nd. Therefore it showed a balance on my account. They refused to close the account and send the lien release due to this balance.

Their response was simply this is company policy. Why should they require an overpayment? They told me I would be reimbursed---approx 45 days later!

Why should they get to keep my money for 45 days? Maybe to be able to draw interest from not only my money but also the 1000's of other customers they do the same thing to?

Monetary Loss: $104.

How do I sign up for a lawsuit against this company. Purchase vehicle in 2008 with Citifinancial never a late payment everything going great... Until Santander (Santan der) too over my loan adding more fees it's been pure *** everysince......
