I had gotten into a serious accident and my car was a total loss in June.Santander was aware and called in October to advise me that all they needed was a police report in order to file it with the GAP coverage. I don't receive a call from them until December that apparently the GAP coverage did not cover a few months of payment and that I am 3 months behind. Neither the Gap company or Santander took it upon themselves to notify this to me, so I...

" You will continue to accrue interest, and someday you have to pay. I recommend setting up an amortization table in a spreadsheet to monitor your loan. There are plenty of free downloads. Watching your loan helps you make better decisions. Best wishes to you and your Santander auto loan. Be proactive and be mindful you are in charge of your experience with Santander. We paid off our loan, but we didn't play ostrich and but our head into the...

Santander Consumer Usa Auto Loan Review

I would suggest not dealing with car dealerships that use Santander

Got an auto loan from Santander two years ago, fell behind on my loan because I fell and broke my back. When I was released from the hospital I called to make arrangements to catch up on my loan. I was told that if I made my payment by August 10th they would not take legal action against me to take my car from me. I made part of the payment on the 3rd and have it set up to pay the difference of what is due on the 5th. I have a banging on my...

I have an auto-loan through Santander Bank, I recently was laid-off and am in the process of finding employment. Upon calling Santander and telling one of the reps about my current situation they seemed understanding and even offered an extension that wouldn't affect my credit and i only had to pay half of what my regular payment would be. After requesting loans from friends/family and cashing-in all of the coins and change i had, I finally have...

at the beginning of this loan(simple interest) I had trouble making payments on the 15th , so I had them do the deferments to get it straight but each time for whatever reason they would never change it.then they said I was out of deferments . I asked for a change of date and they changed it by 2 days to the 13 . at this time after 69 payments of 475.00 a month I still owe this company 12000.00 in principal. so rather then continue to get...

Too few installment trades because I pay off balances each month. Too many auto trades when I was sitting there doing the only "trade" of my 60 year life with no negative equity. Claimed that the info was derived from Experion credit bureau report. Santander did offer a much higher interest rate and longer term loan if I would accept immediately Credit score was mid 700's. They prey on customer vulnerability, and I'm mad Car Max even uses...

unixgirl2015 I would have went to my bank or credit union. End of story. That's what I did. Get away from these loan sharks.

Anonymous You can be mad. And get nothing. Or you can go to your bank or better your credit union and get your own financing.

I obtained a loan for a vehicle thru Santander. The car was totaled one year into the loan. I had gap insurance and a service agreement attached to the loan. Santander recieved 17,000 from the insurance company and 14 000 for a total of 31,000 for a 2014 Ford fusion. They are attempting to extort another 6,000 claiming a balance for service agreement and remaining balance for the full length of the loan which would have been 72...

unixgirl2015 I hope so because these folks are loan sharks and crooks. Trust me I am going through a refinance nightmare.

I bought a new car 2014 Chevy Spark, live in WV.Was in the flood June 23,2016. Didn't make a payment for June. Got payment statement for July 3days late. Was dated 6-27-16 the due date is 3-11-16? Somehow, 2 payments of $359.93 turned into a total amount due of $2,399.58.Somehow my amount of payoff has only gone down by $854.64 since 9/11/14? I tried calling but got the run a round, or hungup on . Then on 7/14/2016, without noticeof any kind ,...

I got a car financed through Santander. The car was only worth $18,000 but they put me in the hole $21,000. It looks like I would never get the balance down. Well, the car was totaled less than a year later. I was rear ended and was not at fault. The GAP coverage is a straight lie. They still left me with a balance on my account and will not remove it from my credit report. Then, because they want me to pay $250 per month til it's paid off, and I...
